Why Research Cancer?

First, we must remember that cancer is not just one disease. It is an umbrella term that consists of over 200 distinct diseases. That’s why it is important to research any and all types of cancer. Moreover, in one type of cancer, there is a myriad of mutations. This makes it hard for research to proceed at a faster pace.

Cancer treatments can also eventually stop working since these cells mutate over time. These genetic mutations allow the cancer cells to develop a resistance to treatment, making it ineffective. What’s more, cancer cells are really good at staying alive. These facts make research even more crucial to ensure that we, eventually, find a cure to cancer.

Research Advancement

Despite the fact that there is still no cure for cancer, it is essential to remember that we have come a long way! Cancer survival across the world has increased ever since research began in the 19th century. The risk of dying from cancer in the U.S. alone has decreased by 32% over the past 28 years, according to the American Cancer Society.

With that in mind, we have joined in the fray to offer our services to clients in Southern California looking to advance research on cancer. We are also working to educate family, friends, and caregivers.
